Ultrasound has been shown to have a neuromodulatory effect and can be focused through tissue, providing a non-invasive, deep treatment or study modality for neurological disorders. However, transcranial application of ultrasound remains a challenge. We are conceiving a flexible ultrasound device that can be implanted under the skull to acheive high resolution ultrasound focusing in the brain.
